About E Solution Group

IT and security for Louisiana businesses, run by the same person since 2007.

E Solution Group is an IT support and cybersecurity company based in Acadiana and working across Louisiana. Reagan Brock has operated it from the first day and has owned it outright since 2018. The work is hourly, nothing has to be signed, and the technicians come to you.

Who we are

A local shop, for people tired of being talked past.

Located in Lafayette, Louisiana, we take pride in our unique community and heritage. As part of a family of small business owners, E Solution Group strives to assist small and medium sized businesses to achieve balance with their technology needs.

Tired of the "geekspeak" and having a technician with whom you cannot communicate? We have the expertise and the user experience to work with you and make you feel comfortable.

In practice that means IT support, cyber security, penetration testing, network forensics, backup and disaster recovery, email and cloud, wireless surveys and project management. We do not build websites. We do look after domains and DNS.

The record

Three downturns, and the shop grew through all of them.

E Solution Group opened in 2007, about a year before the economy came apart. What happened next is the reason the company still works the way it does.

  1. 2008 to 2011

    The first crash

Nobody had money. The lesson that came out of it built the company: people will pay fairly for work that is genuinely good, and they remember who did right by them when it was tight. The shop came out the other side.

  2. 2011 to 2014

    Recovery, and two products

Growth, and the first office. Sentry started here in 2011 and Sky Vault followed in 2012, both built in house because what was on the shelf was priced and shaped for companies far larger than our clients.

  3. 2014 to 2016

    The oil crash

Acadiana emptied out. Businesses closed by the dozen every month and the region took years to come back. E Solution Group grew through it, on good work at economical pricing with nothing signed. A contract is no comfort to a business that can no longer pay it, which is most of the reason there is not one here.

  4. 2020 to 2022

    The third one

The third downturn in under fifteen years, and the shop grew again. Lauren, hired at the tail of the oil crash, was leading the bench by then.

That is the pattern, and it has held through every downturn since the company opened, including the current one. Right now the shop is growing: more services, more clients and more crew.

How we train

Half the job is listening.

We are not just a technician for the client. We are 50% technician and 50% counselor. We have to hear them and take the weight from their shoulders, then fix the problem.

Reagan BrockPrincipal, and the person who trains every technician here on that line.

Most calls start with somebody who is worried, already behind, and out of patience with a machine. Fixing the machine matters. So does the part before it, where a person gets heard out instead of handed a diagnosis they did not ask for.

How we advise

The advice comes first, even when it costs us the job

Our first job on any engagement is to tell you what is actually best for your business. Most of the time that is us. When it is not, we say so, and we help you find who it is.

Part of the work is making sure you understand your own technology: what you own, what it does, what it costs you, and where it is weak. A business that understands its own environment asks better questions and buys better answers, including from us. We would rather earn the next ten years than win this quarter.

A business that runs well is worth more to us than a business limping along on our invoice.

We can evaluate anyone. We cannot always be what they need us to be, and pretending otherwise would spend your money and our reputation at the same time.

Milestones

The dated version.

  1. 2007

E Solution Group opens. Reagan Brock runs it from the first day, bringing ten years of enterprise work back to Acadiana small businesses.

  2. 2007 to 2012

Ethical hacking training, attended every year for six years. Training, not a maintained certification, and it is described that way everywhere on this site.

  3. 2011

The first office opens, and Sentry launches: our own monitoring and protection suite.

  4. 2012

Sky Vault launches: our own backup and disaster recovery suite.

  5. 2018

Reagan buys the company in totality and becomes its formal owner, having operated it since day one. A new office opens the same year.

  6. 2025

We give up the office on purpose. Almost nobody had ever come to it, so technicians now launch from home and go straight to the client.

  7. 2026

Growing. More services, a bigger crew, and more of the state covered.

Why there is no contract

A decision you can undo, which is why most people never do.

If a contract is genuinely what your business needs, go and get one. That is a real answer and we will tell you so. What we offer is the other thing: hourly work, nothing signed, and no penalty for walking away.

If you do not like how it goes, there is no harm and no foul. This is meant to be a harmless decision you might keep for the rest of your company's lifetime.

What a support agreement was actually buying

A five person office was spending about $24,000 a year on a support agreement. The server needed rebooting constantly, the programs were always slow, and none of it ever got fixed.

It took us under two hours. Not to start on it, to finish it. They came off the agreement, moved onto Sentry and Sky Vault, and now spend less than $3,000 a year.

Price is the smaller half of that story. Under a monthly agreement the same problem bills the same amount whether or not anyone ends it, so nothing in the arrangement was ever pushing toward a fix. Hourly work only earns when something is actually done.

IT work
Hourly, with no contract required.
Scheduling
Every request gets a slot. Crippling issues move up the queue.
The one exception
Sentry, which is an annual license rather than hourly work.

The crew

Five people, and you will know which one is coming.

The shop grows its own technicians. Training here is hands on and deliberately long, apprentice to journeyman, which is why a newer technician and a senior one work to the same standard.

  • Reagan Brock

Owner, Project Manager, Level 3 technician

Raised in Carencro and around computers by the time he was five. He went pro at eighteen and spent about thirty years in IT, from small business work up through enterprise networks and project management, before bringing it home to Acadiana in 2007. The most certified technician on staff, and the person who has run the company since it opened.

    At ESG since 2007

  • Lauren Gauthreaux

    Lead technician, Level 2

She has been working on cars since she was young, and the same mechanical instinct is what she brings to a bench full of machines. College for IT, then a few years in local computer shops, then here. The resident Mac specialist, and the senior hands on the bench.

    At ESG since 2016

  • Madison

    Controller

She came on as a customer service rep and moved up to controller not long after. She has spent most of her working life juggling two or three jobs at once, which turns out to be the exact skill this one needs. Runs the back office so the technicians are not slowed down by it.

    At ESG since 2024

  • Kahla DeCuir

    Social media manager

A film arts graduate of the University of New Orleans who runs and promotes her own online stores for her hobbies on the side. Runs the online presence and the Security Alerts feed.

    At ESG since 2026

  • Aiden

    Level 1 technician

A Lafayette kid who is in college for IT while he learns the trade on the shop floor. Front line support, brought up through the apprentice track.

    At ESG since 2026

Credential record

What the shop holds.

These are held by the business rather than by any one person, which is deliberate. You are hiring the shop, so the shop is what carries the credentials, and no badge sits next to a name anywhere on this site.

Where something is training rather than a live certification, it says so. That distinction matters more on a security page than a longer list would.

  • CompTIA A+Certified, current
  • CompTIA Network+Certified, current
  • CompTIA Security+Certified, current
  • CompTIA Server+Certified, current
  • MicrosoftCertified since 2004
  • Ethical hackingCEH trained
  • CiscoCCNA trained

Acadiana White Hat

We used to teach this in a room. Now we publish it.

For years Reagan ran a free seminar series called Acadiana White Hat, driving around the region to explain the scams and thefts that were actually hitting people at the time. No charge and no pitch. COVID ended the room, not the idea.

The Security Alerts section of this site is the same thing in a different form: plain language advisories about the software and hardware our clients actually run, published while they still matter.

Based in Acadiana. We drive most of Louisiana.

We are based in Acadiana and work across Louisiana. We will drive most of the state for on site work, and go further when a job calls for it.

There is no walk in office, and that is on purpose. After years of being an IT to your door operation, and almost never seeing a client at our own building, we made it official in 2025. The technicians launch from home and come to you.
